APPROACH

On The Day

So what does my approach look like on the day? Below, I will give a brief overview of how I approach stand out sections of the day, especially those which require me to be a little more hands on:

The process begins long before your wedding however  and building a solid relationship between us before the big day comes around makes the overall product and experience so much better. Whether it be a meeting in person for a pre-wedding shoot, or a few interactions on socials every now and again, I hope to arrive on your wedding day as someone you know and not as a stranger. After all, I will be there for some of the most intimate and precious moments of your life, so I think its only right that the person with the privalege of being there to witness and document those moments, is someone you are familiar with.

EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN

When it comes to you walking down the aisle (or waiting at the bottom), vows, speeches & first dance; I’ve got that covered. But a wedding is so much more than those traditional, albeit incredibly special,  moments. It’s capturing the moments in-between all of the big shots. The hugs, the kisses, the laughs, the holding of hands, the reactions & parts which you never saw & never knew were being documented. It’s my job as much as any, to capture unseen for you to re-live forever.

ALONE TIME

After all, this day is about you & your love for each other. While I absolutely won’t take you away for hours on end, I do believe it’s immensely important to capture a few moments of you both together in the beautiful surroundings you’ve chosen. Just you, looking your absolute best, being yourselves away from the noise for a few blissful moments.

GROUP PHOTOS

There is huge value in having generations of family & friends in the same shot. That being said, I don’t want you stood in one place for any great length of time on a day which goes SO quick. We’ll have a list, find a nice backdrop, and run through the names of the people you want to have some formal photos with. You can have as many as you want! However, just be aware; the more you have, the more time it will take.

WEDDING FAVOURITES

The shots that don’t happen at every wedding, but we see a lot & may take a tiny bit of organising & input from me. The spectacular confetti shot, the first look, the exchanging of gifts or even popping a bottle of fizz in sunglasses at night. I’m here for them all & any other special shots you may want to curate.

THE DANCE FLOOR

One of my favourite parts of the day is the dancefloor. Seeing couples and their guests really let their hair down is so much fun and makes for great photos more often than not. As much as I am sentimental and enjoy the beauty of wedding days, the boogie of a wedding day always has an equal place in my heart and is why I always stay until at least 10pm on the night.
